Training 20/02/2012

Yesterdays training was a mixed bag, turned up to the gym not motivated at all. Had taken my pre-workout way to early, the effects of which were slowly wearing off!

In fear of crashing I skipped the cardio warm up and went straight in the gym. After warming up with some light pressing, it was time to replicate last weeks PB. Result FAIL!!! They just would not move, triceps i think still ruined from a few days ago.

Nonetheless I continued on through 16 sets of Incline Press, Chest Press and two variants of Flies, improvement as the session went on.

Next was biceps, this I was determined to blow away, get a huge pump and leave the gym feeling a little more manly. Left arm as always trained 1st, its the weaker and smaller of the two arms. Drop sets on the Preacher Machine, followed by a run of the total DB rack from 10kg down to 1kg, never did i think 1kg  could be so destructive.

Pump achieved, arms feeling like they were going to explode, they were finished off with some Hammer curls. Result this morning is some difficulty typing this message and also feeding my daughter, im sure she will thank me later in life.

Rest day today…. get home and cook up 6kg of pork for the weeks diet. Boring, but tasty!

Training 19/02/2012

The brutal legs day…..the most complained about training day, secretly though we all love walking around like a constipated chicken the next day. I’m not  a big fan of repeating similar exercises over and over again so its either a leg press or squat etc etc. Muscles are taken to complete failure in every session….so whats the point in repeating failure over and over again…the answer, there aint no point!  I usually start with something to get blood into the knee joints like leg extensions. starting light and working towards one all out failure set. Keeping the intensity as high as possible is my aim, the closer to vomiting after a failure set the better!

Leg Extensions, Squats, Stiff Leg Deadlift, Calf raises…..

Supps used. Pre Workout – Warrior Rage – (i love this product)

Post Workout – Bodybuilding Warehouse Premium Whey

Diet Yesterday – Pretty average, good clean food choices but not enough of it. Time was against me! Must do better.
